Ioffer: the Alternative to Ebay

I am writing this to let everyone know about Ioffer.com. Ioffer is an alternative to the auction site, ebay. However, ioffer is not an auction site itself. With ioffer, buyers can either buy an item at the price stated by the seller, they can make an offer to the seller, or they can offer the seller something in trade.

Ioffer can been lots of fun when the buyer and seller can't agree on a price. The offers and counter offers could go on indefinately. However, it usually only last a couple times at the most. With ebay, unless you pay the buy it now price and pay what the seller is asking, you have to compete against other buyers to see if you will be the winning bidder. With bidding, you won't know if the item is yours until after the auction ends.

The main difference between ioffer and ebay is the fees charged. Ebay charges to have an online store, they charge when you list an item for sale, they charge a final value fee when an item sales, and they charge miscellaneous fees for making your listings stand out. Ioffer does not charge the listing fees or the store fee. You can also transfer your rating from ebay and other auction sites, to ioffer.

The one thing that ebay has going for it over ioffer is its popularity. Many more people know of ebay than knows of ioffer. Because of this, the traffic to ebay is heavier than to ioffer. This causes ebay to have more buyers and more sellers at the present time. Ioffer traffic has picked up in recent months however and should continue to grow as more people find out about the site.

If you like to find good bargains and don't want to fight another buyer for the item you want, you should check out ioffer.
